Hexamethyl Disiloxane

Description

Hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO) is an organosilicon intermediate widely used in the manufacture of silicone oils, elastomers, and resins, as well as a precursor for specialty silanes like HMDS and trimethylsilanol. It is also used in plasma-enhanced coating processes to create hydrophobic, dielectric, and protective thin films for electronics, medical devices, glass, and metal surfaces.
